Rhonda's Cut Down Method
This is how I make all of my "Blocks". It is soooo easy and quick.
There is little math and you don't have to cut out several pieces to
make one block.
Cut Down means you sew two pieces of fabric together and then
you cut out a square from the center with a template. If you have two
pieces of fabric you will get a Half Square Triangle Block. If you use
three fabrics you can follow my directions below and create a Boston
Block. By adding the third piece of fabric you will get small pieces
in the block that appear when you cut out the square from the center.
Check out the other Blocks below that are made using this method!

Blocks
My blocks are made with my cut down method. Check out
the cut down method explained above. Once you have that
figured out you can make any of my "Blocks". I use the "Blocks"
in making any project I want. So check out the Projects below
for ideas and you can use these Blocks any way you want.

Projects
Bookmarks
After you learn to make the "Blocks" above you can make them into one of these projects.

Quilt Blocks
Here you will find quilt blocks to make with the 'blocks." Most of these designs are
for hotpads or quilt blocks to make a quilt with but I will be adding more designs for
checkbook covers and for the other smaller projects.

Design Lessons
Take a look at the design ideas in the links below. I hope you will find some inspiration
for your own quilting. Changing the color and/or placement of the "Blocks" can create
some interesting designs. Try it and see what you can do with these ideas. Border Ideas
are coming as soon as I have time to write the page.

Applique
Here I'd like to share with you my favorite applique. Since I don't know what to call
this section I will just try to explain. These lessons will show you how to make the
pieces to be appliqued. Since there are several differant things you can make to applique
onto a project you will need to see for yourself what I mean.
I am in the process of adding these lessons so bear with me as I work on them. In the meantime you can see some of my kaleidoscopes on www.patchworkbyrhonda.com
